We had a sold-out crowd of revelers on Fat Tuesday, February 28, for Mardi Gras for Paws at Victoria’s Crab Shack! Lots of great food, drink and dancing to live music, provided by Sea and Sand Band, a full brass jazz band. We had costume contests and prizes for those who found a “critter” in their piece of King Cake. Mardi Gras for Paws has become the “must-attend” party of the season in Southeastern North Carolina!
The proceeds from Mardi Gras for Paws will go to support the Brunswick Search and Rescue (BSAR) dogs. These dogs provide an invaluable service to our community, having assisted local law enforcement in over 300 search and rescue cases. The funds from Mardi Gras for Paws will help to build a medical fund for the BSAR dogs so they will stay healthy and be ready when called upon.
Keep an eye on our website for tickets for next year’s Mardi Gras for Paws – we’re sure to have another sell-out and you don’t want to miss it!
